Parties & Social

Friends, profiles, parties, and Quick Play help players find matches beyond the people standing beside them. These records belong to the player's framework character, not a shared account across all characters.

Friends and Player Profiles

Players can share an SD- friend code, search profiles, send and accept friend requests, block users, view recent opponents, and inspect available player-card and match-history details.

Defaults in configs/server/social.lua:

SettingDefault
Maximum friends100
Pending outgoing requests20
Request expiry7 days
Minimum search length3 characters
Search resultsUp to 10
Recent opponentsUp to 20
Stored match history50 matches per character
Profile history shown10 rows

Match history defaults to matches with at least two humans, so solo CPU games will not populate it the same way as multiplayer fights. Presence updates and outside-arcade notifications are rate-limited by the config.

Parties

configs/server/party.lua enables shared parties of up to four players. Players can invite friends or players from profiles, join an open party where available, and play together from different arcade banks.

Invitations last 60 seconds by default, with a 30-second grace period configured for temporary interruptions. Party rooms can use CPUs or find other players to fill spaces when filling is enabled.

Ranked 2v2 uses a two-player party and applies its own eligibility and rank-gap checks. A full four-player party is not a ranked duo.

Quick Play

Quick Play searches for an available casual lobby instead of requiring everyone to find the same physical arcade bank. QuickPlay.Enabled controls access, while Fill.Enabled controls party/lobby filling. Keep the party and social systems enabled if you want this flow available.

Dependencies and Privacy Controls

Social requires progression profiles. Parties require social. Disable these through their own Enabled switches when removing the features, rather than deleting their tables or hiding only a menu entry.

Use the request, search, notification, and rate-limit settings to match your server's population. Saved friends, blocks, and match history are covered by the database backup list in Updating.
